Uncommon Threads: The Art of Making Lace

See up close how bobbin lace, a near-lost art form, is made with Theodora von Hohenstaufen Noll. Discover how this type of lace originated and how it’s different from other types of lace. Learn about bobbins and the materials needed to make lace masterpieces of your own. Gain a greater appreciation for the fine art of lace making and understand why it was so expensive and an obvious outward symbol of wealth in the 17th century.Price:               $5/adult or $12 for all 3 lectures                       $3/student or $7 for all 3 lectures
