Learn about how fabric impacted daily life in 16th and 17th century England, from the poorest pauper to the wealthiest Lord. As the 16th century saw King Henry VIII break away from the Catholic Church, there was a shift in demand of embroidered church vestments to more lavish clothing and household furnishings.
