The Dancing Queen: Court Dance in the Age of Elizabeth
Tuesday, March 31 2009, 7:30pm - 9:00pm

Experience the majesty and elegance of court dancing from the perspective of Queen Elizabeth I and her courtiers.  English almans and country dances, French branles, and Italian balli and cascarde were all part if the English court repertoire. Through historical narrative and dance demonstrations by the costumed Richmond Renaissance Dancers, you will come to appreciate the gracefulness, dexterity, and fitness required of Elizabeth's courtiers.

Take a step back in time- with the Dancing Queen. 

 $10 per person/ $7 for students with ID.
