Grammy-nominated lutenist Ronn McFarlane and internationally known television and radio personality Robert Aubry Davis present a program of Renaissance lute music accompanied by Elizabethan poetry.
McFarlane and Davis artfully match poetry and theater works in a masterful mix of lilting verse and enchanting music. The poetry of William Shakespeare, Thomas Wyatt, Richard Barnfield and the bawdy Thomas d’Urfey intertwine with the music of John Dowland, William Byrd, and the prolific Anonymous.

Ronn McFarlane strives to bring the lute, the most popular instrument of the Renaissance, into today’s musical mainstream and make it accessible to a wider audience.
