Christmas at Agecroft - Then & Now

Agecroft Hall has seen many Christmases in its long history! Join us for this virtual event as we look back at the seasonal traditions that may have taken place in this house.  We'll talk about the extensive Christmas season during the Tudor and Stuart age.  Moving into the Victorian era, we'll discover the ways in which a book by Charles Dickens changed how the holiday was celebrated in England.  And finally, we will follow Agecroft across the ocean and show how Christmas was celebrated in Virginia in the early half of the twentieth century.  Enjoy this journey through Christmases Past from the comfort of your own home.
