About The Event

During Queen Elizabeth I’s reign, a primary way to exert power was to control information and keep it secret. Catholics in England and around Europe attempted to use secret plots to topple the Protestant Queen from her throne. Discover how Elizabeth’s ministers, especially Sir Francis Walsingham, used secrets and an elaborate spy network to protect Queen Elizabeth and the kingdom.
