In commemoration of the Bard's birthday this month, join tour guide Tracy Weldon for a look at culinary customs during Shakespeare’s lifetime. What was dining like in Elizabethan England? What were medlars, lamb’s wool, and other spring ingredients used for?
A brief talk is followed by a guided tour through seasonal displays in Agecroft Hall’s Great Hall, Dining Parlor, and Tudor Kitchen. Then take home some period recipes to try in your own kitchen!
Garden admission is included in the tour ticket. Arrive early to see the gardens.
$12.00 per person. 20% discount for museum members.
