About The Event
As the days get shorter, many of us are thinking about our Fall traditions and holidays. In early modern England, this would be a time of harvesting the crop for the year and gathering to tell scary stories. In this month’s installment of our Tudor Topics Virtual Events, we will be exploring what life would have been like in the Fall at Agecroft Hall Manor. We’ll talk about the plants they would have harvested, who would have done the harvesting, and what was done with the harvested products. On the lighter side, we’ll share some stories that you would have heard around the campfire. These tales could be spooky or funny, but there was always a lesson to be learned from them.
This will be a free virtual event with historical information and fun activities! Register here to receive a password at 10:00am on October 22nd to access the content, which will remain available after the event ends at 5:00pm. We’ll also have a space for you to share your projects. Come join us around the virtual campfire!
