Special Focus Tour: Shakespeare’s Garden Tour

  • Agecroft Hall & Gardens 4305 Sulgrave Road Richmond, VA, 23221 United States (map)

Enjoy a guided tour of Agecroft Hall’s unique Shakespeare Garden. William Shakespeare’s writings reflect beliefs in witchcraft, fairies, and the "language of flowers” that were common throughout Elizabethan England. Learn about this and other Tudor-style gardens from a Shakespearean perspective.

Don’t forget comfortable shoes for this all-outdoor tour. The tour requires walking on grass, gravel paths, and the stone terrace. The route has several stair steps.

Stay after the guided tour to explore the other garden areas on your own, have a picnic, or take a self-guided tour of the museum (an additional ticket is required).

$10.00 per person. 20% discount for museum members.
