About The Event
Do you love a good mystery? How about a scrumptious English tea? Well, then our next Tea Time Tales event is for you!
Our two lecture and tea events on September 8th sold out quickly, and we excited to offer this encore presentation!
For five decades, Agatha Christie’s primary obsession was murder, but her interest in houses was a close second, particularly the English country house. Taken together, some of her most popular works offer a keen look at the changing fortunes of English country houses in the 20th century. They offer insight into how life at the time was changing in these quintessentially British houses, both upstairs and downstairs.
Join Agecroft Hall's executive director, Anne Kenny-Urban, for an exploration of what Christie mysteries reveal about changes in the houses themselves and the people who lived and worked in them.
Afterward the lecture, enjoy tea and good conversation with fellow mystery lovers. Help yourself to scones, tea sandwiches, and a variety of delicious bite-sized sweets from Missy Mauck Catering!
Tickets: $45 per person; 20% discount for museum members.
