About The Event
Agecroft Hall’s unique Shakespeare Garden, representing the late 16th century, was created from the early 20th century Charles Gillette garden design. Learn about this garden and our other Tudor-style gardens from a Shakespearean perspective. William Shakespeare’s writings reflected beliefs in Elizabethan England in witchcraft, fairies, and the language of flowers. Some of those meanings still persist today.
Don’t forget comfortable shoes for this all-outdoor tour 45-minute tour. The tour requires walking on grass, gravel paths, and stone walkways. The route has several stair steps.
Stay after the guided tour to explore other gardens areas on your own.
