About The Event
What was dining like in Elizabethan England? What are medlars and lamb’s wool? In commemoration of William Shakespeare’s birthday, join Tour Guide Tracy Weldon for a look at culinary customs during Shakespeare’s lifetime. A brief talk is followed by a tour through seasonal displays in Agecroft Hall’s Great Hall, Dining Parlor and Tudor Kitchen. Take home period recipes and sweet treat.
Garden admission is included in the tour ticket fee and the gardens are open until 7:00 pm.
